We will rock you Interview

Interview with the 'We will rock you' cast members.

1) What has your role been in the show? What has this entailed?

Jessie McColmI played the part of Meatloaf in the show, which consisted of a few lines and songs. Most of my scenes were in act one, and I also had my own solo.

Jamie Quirke: I played Brit, one of the main roles!! It was full of lots of singing, dancing and acting.

Harrison Deas: I was the male lead in the show, Galileo Figaro. This meant that I had to take a leadership role as one of the oldest members of the cast. As well as setting an example, I also had to help the younger cast members feel comfortable acting, singing and dancing in front of people they didn't know, which meant developing relationships where they could come to me if they needed advice.

2) What's your favourite thing about the performance?

Jessie: My favourite thing was hanging out and having fun with the other cast members, especially during the full day rehearsals! The dances and songs were also quite fun too!

Jamie:  My favourite thing about doing the production has been meeting new people with similar interests and being able to perform and enjoy this amazing experience with them.

Harrison:  My favourite thing about the performance is just performing, especially with my fellow cast members. We became a little family over the last couple of months, and so being able to look across the stage at people who you have developed friendships with and being proud of them is amazing.

3) Why did you want to be part of the show?

Jessie: I was part of the show last year, and I had so much fun that I couldn't stop myself from doing it again!

Jamie:  I wanted to be apart of the show as the productions have always seemed fun to me but I was too shy to do them before. I thought, since it was my last year, I may as well and now I regret not doing them earlier!!

Harrison: I wanted to be a part of the show because I love performing and I had such a fun time last year doing Grease. But also, I knew that it was one of my last chances to do a show at Douay, and opportunities like this may not be as easily available outside of school, so I had to make the most of it.
